Uroplakins (UPs)是膀胱上皮细胞分化的跨膜蛋白家族，包括Ia、Ib、II和III四种，在非肿瘤性的尿路上 皮中以一种16nm的颗粒形式表达于浅表层的腔面。研究表明，这四种糖蛋白仅存在于尿路移行上皮，而在 其它组织中几乎不表达。膀胱移行细胞癌UP表达与膀胱癌的分化程度具有相关性，分化越好表达比例越高。 Uroplakin II 作为一个高特异性的抗体，在尿路上皮来源肿瘤的鉴别诊断中是非常有用的。对任何阳性或阴性 结果的解读，应由病理医生结合病理形态学、临床表现及其它检测方法进行，不作为单独的诊断指标。
